I know it's crazy, but it was only a few weeks ago that Google Photos opened up their API to photo sites and apps like Shutterfly, JibJab, and others. I'll save the full write up for why Google Photos is the the best photo sharing service around for another day, but I want to emphasize that having curated photo albums (from old school manual organization to AI powered face detection) to natively integrate with applications that make GIFs, movies, and printed photo albums is a huge deal.
To give some perspective, the last photobook my family made involved us creating an album on Google Photos (since it automatically merges photos of our son from both of our libraries), downloading that album, and then uploading it to Shutterfly. What a pain right? Well thanks to Google... that's a thing of the past.
If you're not on the Google Photos bandwagon yet... check it out.
